  • A healthy breakfast rich in proteins is very important for school going children as it improves concentration and gives energy to them.
  • Along with balanced diet, playing and sports such as swimming, football, cricket is very important for their growth.
  • Encourage your children to drink water and refill your body fluids. 
  • Whole fruits and veggies have more vitamins, minerals and fiber so offer them these more than juices.
  • Offer your child different variety of food which which helps to enjoy and try new food items.
  • Milk is very important for everyone especially for children. Gives them 2 cups of milk everyday as it contain vitamin D needs to help their bones grow stronger.






Nutrition tips for children
  • Avoid bribing your children with food. In fact plan, shop and cook healthy meals together.
  • Avoid turning on television during meal times and encourage the whole family to eat together.
  • Focus on whole, plant based foods. Children respond to different colors and shapes. Provide them with assortment of colors such as slice of cheese, apple, carrot, strawberries, watermelon.
  • Avoid food that break off into large solid pieces or are very hard. Just make sure children are sitting down while they eat and not moving around.
  • Offer your children a choice of 3-4 vegetables. If they are able to choose veggies they are served, they may be less likely to refuse.
